How long does it last?

Cooling times depend on factors such as ambient temperatures, humidity level, physical exertion, and body mass. As a general guideline, the each frozen panel set will provide cooling for about 6 hrs. Additional panel sets can extend time duration.

Why Ice? Isn’t there a more advanced chemical?

Water, when changing phase from a solid (ice) to a liquid, is the most efficient material in absorbing heat.

My Ice Vest is melting already. Is it working correctly?

Yes, it is working perfectly. Heat is removed from the body when the ice vest is melting, or changing phase from a solid to a liquid. As long as there is the tiniest sliver of ice in the cubes, it is removing heat from the body.

How do I wash my Ice Vest?

The Ice Vest is machine washable after the ice sheets are removed. To remove the ice sheets from the panels, unzip the panels and pull out the ice. The Ice sheets can be hand washed as needed. Put the ice sheets back in the panels after washing.

Not all of the cubes are frozen when I take them out of the freezer, what can I do?

If you have a cube that isn’t frozen after 12 hours in a deep freeze, give it a sharp flick with your finger. If it doesn’t crystalize on contact, place it back in the freezer and it will be frozen shortly. This is due to our use of pure water.
